Executive Leadership It is critical for Lean Six Sigma to be successful in a business, it must be supported at the highest level. The CEO and other members of the senior management team create a vision for the company, and empower the stake holders with the freedom to explore new ideas.

 

Champions take responsibility for Lean Six Sigma implementation throughout the organization.

 

Master Black Belts are the coaches on Six Sigma. They devote 100% of their time to Six Sigma. They assist champions and mentor Black Belts and Green Belts.

 

Black Belts Apply Six Sigma methodology to specific projects, and primarily focuses on project execution. Champions and Master Black Belts focus on identifying future projects for Lean Six Sigma.

 

Green Belts, Employees who take up Six Sigma implementation along with their other job responsibilities, operate under the guidance of Black Belts.

 

Yellow Belts, Trained in the basic application of Six Sigma management tools, work with the Black Belts throughout the project stages and are often the closest to the work.
